Team Sahlen Driver Makes Lap Around Turner Field At Braves-Royals Game To Promote Road Atlanta Race, Celebrate Jackie Robinson Day.
ATLANTA, Ga. - GRAND-AM was on full display at Tuesday night's Atlanta Braves-Kansas City Royals game as Team Sahlen driver Dane Cameron took a lap around Turner Field in Atlanta to promote this weekend’s GRAND-AM races at Road Atlanta and celebrate Jackie Robinson Day in the No. 42 BMW/Riley Daytona Prototype. The red, black and yellow DP was staged in the parking lot before the game with Cameron signing autographs at the Road Atlanta display.
It was a special night for Cameron, Team Sahlen and GRAND-AM.
“It was really neat and must have made for some awesome photos. It was pretty wild being in front of the gate waiting to go on the field, I’ve never been that close on a Major League Baseball field like that before,” Cameron said. “Just having the car sitting there waiting to go out was very special, that doesn’t happen every day.”
Cameron made a slow parade lap around the field before the seventh inning, revving the engine repeatedly for an enthusiastic crowd of fans.
“Everyone seemed to be on their feet and everyone seemed to like it,” he said. “Hopefully we’ll see them out at Road Atlanta this weekend.
