Grand-Am Special Awards
Acxiom GT Pole Award
Acxiom will offer a $1,000 prize to the GT class pole winner for each race. In the event that the pole car does not pass post-qualifying inspection, the award will go to the second-place qualifier. All cars competing in the GT class will be required to run the ACXIOM windshield banners, which can be picked up at the Grand-Am transporter.
MESCO Building Solutions Rookie of the Year Award
2009 newcomers to Daytona Prototype and GT competition compete for a $10,000 prize and the distinction of being the "MESCO Building for the Future Rookie of the Year". To be considered for the MESCO Building for the Future Rookie of the Year award, drivers must compete in 5 races in 2009, and drivers must not have competed in more than four Rolex Series Daytona Prototype or GT races in a single season since 2006 and prior to 2009. Eligible drivers also must display MESCO decals on both sides of the car and compete in a minimum of five Rolex Series events, with the annual winner determined by finishing position in the final championship standings. The MESCO Building for the Future Rookie of the Year will be honored at the season-ending Rolex Series awards banquet.
Grand-Am Contingency Program
The following awards are being offered by companies participating in the Grand-Am Contingency Award Program. Grand-Am offers these awards on behalf of participating companies, but does not warrant or guarantee payment of any awards. Payment of awards is the sole responsibility of the company offering the awards. Grand-Am will assist by notifying companies of entrants that have met award criteria following each event.
To be eligible for awards each entry must submit the claim forms below at the event where awards are to be earned. Award claim forms must be completed in their entirety. Award compliance will be verified by a Grand-Am official at any time during the event at Grand-Am's choosing. Award payment authorization will not be forwarded to sponsors unless a claim form has been received and verified by Grand-Am at that event.
