Stevenson Motorsports has been competing regularly in GRAND-AM since 2003. The team had limited success from their first race and podium at Watkins Glen with John Stevenson behind the wheel running a Porsche GT3 RS. From 2005-2007, Stevenson campaigned Corvettes built by Riggins and Crawford, but it wasn't until 2008 when the team's second podium and first win came at Mexico City with their three-race old Pratt & Miller Pontiac GXP.R. It would be the first of 14 podiums over the next two years including five more wins at VIR (2), Montreal (2) and Barber.
The relationship between Stevenson Motorsports and Pratt & Miller continued in 2010 when together they debuted the Chevrolet Camaro GT.R at the Rolex 24. Stevenson also expanded to two cars for the GT class and worked with Riley Technologies to build and develop the Camaro GS.R for the GS class of the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge. The 2010 season brought the team's seventh GT win at Miller Motorsports Park and their first 1-2 finish. The two-car GS program claimed the team's first of two poles in a difficult but successful development year for the new car.
In 2011 Stevenson returned to one Camaro GT.R in GT and one Camaro GS.R in GS with an all-star lineup including Robin Liddell, Jan Magnussen, Ronnie Bremer, Matt Bell and John Edwards. By the end of the year, the No. 57 Stevenson Camaro recorded the most laps led, most poles and most wins (three - Lime Rock, Montreal, Mid-Ohio) but reliability and on-track incidents dropped them to ninth in the final points standings. The No. 9 Camaro GS.R also had a breakout year scoring its first of two wins at Road America and Laguna Seca, but crashes in the last two events removed them from championship contention.
2012 saw John Edwards step up to the No. 57 Stevenson Camaro GT.R with series and team veteran Robin Liddell. Edwards also drove with Matt Bell in the No. 9 Stevenson Camaro GS.R and with the team finishing third in the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge championship. Stevenson Motorsports also campaigned a second GT car for Matt Bell and Ronnie Bremer in the North American Endurance Championship events.
Stevenson Motorsports will build on its strong 2012 Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge season and pursue the 2013 Championship with Edwards and Bell once again sharing the driving duties in the No. 9 Stevenson Auto Group Chevrolet Camaro. The team will once again compete in the Rolex Sports Car Series GT class with Edwards and Liddell driving the No. 57 Camaro for the second consecutive year.
