Formed by Team Principal John Potter, Magnus Racing is comprised of experienced professionals from a number of industries to provide a unique blend of fresh thinking. The team features championship-winning drivers, engineering staff and executive hospitality. The team combines factory support from Porsche, while maintaining a family atmosphere that is often absent at the top levels of motorsport. Its goals are to creative a top-level professional racing organization that is capable of winning races and championships while bringing "the fun" back into motorsports.
The team is based in Salt Lake City, Utah. Potter co-drives the team's No. 44 Porsche GT3 with 2011 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Rookie of the Year Andy Lally. The duo will be joined by Richard Lietz and Rene Rast in the Rolex 24 At Daytona.
