Team Overview

LG Motorsports brings more than 35 years of on-track experience to the GRAND-AM Rolex Series. The team is set to make its series debut in the 2010 Grand Prix of Miami when 2008 Rolex Series GT champion Kelly Collins joins Eric Lux in the No. 28 Corvette.

LG Motorsports was formed in 1988 by Lou Gigliotti, a native of Geneva, N.Y. now based in Texas, to run in the Corvette Challenge. After running a pair of corvettes, the team began racing a Camaro in the SCCA World Challenge in 1991 and began building a successful parts business to service fellow competitors and track customers. The team won the World Challenge Manufacturer's Championship in 1996 for Steve Saleen and Ford.

Gigliotti has turned the day-to-day operation of the organization to his son, Louis, while continuing to make strategic decisions. "One of our sayings is: ‘We blur the line between racing and street,'" Lou Gigliotti said. "This comes from our close connection to the racing world. Racing helps us innovative great street products for the Corvette market and our experience in the extreme environments that racing is conducted in, allows us to get it right the first time which benefits our customers."
