Team Overview

Matt Connolly Motorsports (MCM) is unique in that it fielded a Pontiac GTO.R, a Corvette and a Porsche GT3 in the 2010 Rolex 24 At Daytona. The team is based in Bethlehem, Pa., led by owner Matt Connolly.

Connolly and MCM scored a podium finish at Montreal in 2008. With the scheduled driver cancelling out at the last moment, he joined Diego Alessi in finishing third in the team's No. 21 Pontiac GTO.R.

Connolly raced in motorcycles from age 13 to 21, when he began racing open-wheel cars in the U.S. and France. He won his first championship in SCCA Formula Continental at 23, and later raced professional F2000 and Formula Atlantic. Connolly began racing production cars in 2000, winning a championship in 2001, and moved up to GT in 2005.

The team competed in the Daytona Prototype ranks in two races in 2007, running a Pontiac Chase at Watkins Glen International and Miller Motorsports Park.
