Team Overview
Stevenson Motorsports is a GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series GT team that operates out of Jacksonville, N.C. Team owner John Stevenson, who has competed in the series both as an owner and a driver, is a successful businessman and the driving force behind the Stevenson Automotive Group, a leading automotive influence in Southeastern North Carolina since 1983.
Stevenson Motorsports has been competing in GRAND-AM Road Racing for several years. In 2007, the team campaigned a pair of Chevrolet Corvettes in the Rolex Sports Car Series GT class. In 2008 the team placed second in the owner point standings with its No. 57 BryanMark Financial/Stevenson Automotive Pontiac GXP.R, a new car built by Pratt & Miller. En route to that second-place finish, Stevenson Motorsports drivers Robin Liddell and Andrew Davis won races at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez, Virginia International Raceway and Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, thus making Stevenson Motorsports the only team to win Rolex Series races in three different countries in the same calendar year.
In 2009, the team recorded third in the points standings, with victories at Virginia International Raceway, Barber Motorsports Park and Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. In 2010, the team will campaign a pair of Camaro GT.Rs in the Rolex Series, as well as two Camaro GS.Rs in the GRAND-AM Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge.
