Miller Barrett Racing |
Team Overview
Miller Barrett Racing fields the No. 48 Porsche GT3 in the GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series GT class. The team is new, but its owners Paul Miller and Eric Barrett have a long, successful history together. They have reunited as partners in Miller Barrett Racing, based in Braselton, Ga.
Paul Miller has extensive experience as both a driver and team owner. He led the Porsche factory effort in Trans-Am Series racing in the 1980s. He competed in the 24 Hours of Le Mans three times and in the Rolex 24 race nine times, winning the GTO class in 1988. Eric Barrett started his race career as a mechanic on Paul Miller's winning Trans-Am team. He was later crew chief for Paul Miller's SCCA team, then coached Bryce Miller to more than 60 International Karting Federation wins.
Miller Barrett Racing undertook a four-race test program in 2009. The rookie team showed immediate speed, leading the GT class in the team's first race, at Watkins Glen International.
